2nd International Scientific Conference “Money & Banking: The History and Future of Money

January 23–25 – Manama, Bahrain.
Participation in the Arados exhibition. New relationships were established, and contacts were made with banknote dealers and collectors from the Gulf countries: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman.

March 21 – Bucharest, Romania.
Presentation of a diploma to the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mr. Mugur Isărescu, in recognition of the bank’s victory in the “Best Commemorative Banknote of 2024” competition.

May 17 – Bern, Switzerland.
Participation in the MünzenMesse exhibition. Presentation of the world’s largest banknote and the fifth edition of the “Banknote of the Year” catalogue.

June 6–7 – Bratislava, Slovakia.
Participation in the Collectors Days exhibition. Interviews were given to two major Slovak TV channels.

August 26 – Kutaisi, Georgia.
Meeting with Georgian collectors. Our colleagues are in the process of registering a public organization aimed at promoting banknote collecting and developing international connections.

September 5–6 – Prague, Czech Republic.
Participation in Sběratel, the largest collectors’ fair in Central and Eastern Europe.
The organizers traditionally make the event multifaceted, hosting competitions, presentations, and interviews that attract a wide range of collectors.

Throughout the year, informal meetings were also held with collectors at exhibitions in Berlin, Strasbourg, Basel, Karlsruhe, Maastricht and Zurich.

September 19 – Online participation.
A presentation was delivered at the 2nd International Scientific Conference “Money & Banking: The History and Future of Money”, organized by the National Bank of Ukraine.
Topic of the report: “Banknote of the Year – the IBNS Global Competition as a Mirror of Modern Money Evolution (2004–2025).”

December – “Best Commemorative Banknote of 2025” Awards.
For the third consecutive year, the IBNS MOSAIC Chapter is organizing the competition for the Best Commemorative Banknote of the Year.
We invite everyone to participate in the voting on our website and help select the 2025 winner.
