On 26 March 2026, an official delegation of IBNS members visited the National Bank of Poland. The delegation was personally welcomed by Mr. Adam Glapiński, Governor of the National Bank of Poland, and Ms. Barbara Jaroszek, Chief Treasurer. Our hosts provided a fascinating guided tour of the Money Centre, while the highlight of the visit was the presentation of an IBNS Mosaic Chapter Award Diploma to the Polish 20 Złotych commemorative banknote, which won First Place in the Best Commemorative Banknote of 2025 competition. Each participant at the meeting received a commemorative banknote autographed by the Governor as a gift.

During the reporting period, IBNS Mosaic Chapter participated as an exhibitor at the following numismatic fairs:
- 8 February – Strasbourg, Alsace, France
- 10 May – Bern, Switzerland
- 28 June – Aix-les-Bains, Savoie, France
The 6th Edition of the Banknote of the Year Catalogue has been published, and the first catalogue franchise has been successfully launched in China. We are currently seeking distribution partners in other countries, as well as franchise owners interested in translating the catalogue into additional languages, making it more accessible to collectors worldwide. The first English-language issue of Bonistics Journal has also been released. The journal is distributed free of charge by subscription, which can be easily arranged at the page bottom.
From 1 June to 31 August, as part of our regional activities supporting banknote collectors across Africa, the Best African Circulating Banknote 2026 competition is being held. A total of 42 African countries participated in the first round, with 16 finalists advancing to the second round. A comprehensive report on the competition will be published in the next issue of the magazine.
We look forward to meeting fellow IBNS members at the upcoming gatherings in Lichtenstein, Prague, Maastricht, Zurich and Berlin.
