Annual “Best Commemorative Banknote” Competition
During the reporting quarter, the IBNS Mosaic Chapter successfully conducted the Third Annual International “Best Commemorative Banknote” Competition.
The competition featured 13 commemorative banknotes issued by central and national banks worldwide in 2025.
The voting attracted broad international interest, with collectors and numismatic enthusiasts from 56 countries taking part. As a result of the voting, the Polish 20 zloty banknote, issued to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław the Brave, was declared the winner by a majority vote.

“Banknote of the Year” Catalogue: New Edition
Preparations have begun for the sixth edition of the “Banknote of the Year” catalogue. The upcoming edition will feature a complete redesign and layout update, as well as a significant expansion of content aimed at addressing the practical needs of collectors.
In 2025, a franchise model was developed, and the catalogue was published in English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Spanish.
In 2026, the IBNS Mosaic Chapter invites like-minded individuals and partners to collaborate on the localization and publication of the catalogue for collectors in other countries in your native languages.
Those interested in cooperation are encouraged to contact the Mosaic Chapter directly to discuss terms and formats of collaboration.
